I started in 2005. First selling, then running accounts.
My career in search marketing began as inside sales at an agency — later outside sales, and eventually the account work itself. I’ve been on my own since 2013. That’s 21 years in search, 13 of them under my own name.
In those years I’ve seen enough accounts to know where it usually goes wrong: not in the campaigns, but in the numbers underneath. Tracking that measures everything and so means nothing. Conversions that aren’t leads. Reports that tell a prettier story than reality, month after month.
I work with a handful of accounts at a time, not dozens spread across a team. You don’t get an account manager who passes you to someone you never speak to — you get the person who actually runs your account. That there’s only one of me isn’t a limitation. With AI as leverage for the repeatable work, I keep the bandwidth to give every account the attention it deserves.
